As title heh

Just had a power cut for an hour. My boss refused to use answer his phone so I had to use my mobile on the laptop via gprs as no 3g to get on the net and vpn into work to check the power there just incase the monitoring systems hadnt texted me but then my laptop went flat as the battery only lasts 20 minutes

Having no power is weird. Its like what it must have been like in medieval times in the evening. Everyone in darkness except for the person carrying around a Tesco led torch

Thought best have a bath before the water goes cold seeing as the shower was out of service. I really must clean that bath, think im dirtier now LOL....

got to go view a house in a moment , our current one (we rent it) is soon to be demolished to turn into park farm, as long as its got an indoor section for a bike im happy  , shame that its another 3 miles away from the current one so the commute is now 10 miles  , great for losing that extra weight though

CRC used to be cheap for things but their prices on forks atm are ridiculous compared to say Wiggle, ie (CRC first)

Magura Menja Forks 2009 £400 £312
Magura Thor £650 £470 (!)
Reba team 120mm maxle £575 £510
Revelation Dual Air maxle £540 £480

Highly annoying when I would like some Thors or Revelations but have £450 in CRC vouchers due to my dodgy Manitous. Do you think Wiggle would accept them?

Who were you describing the 'rooty run-in to a jump' to? If it was a bird then you had better be packing some carbon brake blades to undo the untold damage that over-excited gabbling tends to cause.

I like to use my hands when describing tree-infested singletrack (like at the start of Blean), making bizarre shapes and leaning into unfathomable corners. In order to reduce the damage caused by my wittering I like to sing 'This is how we do it' by Montel Jordan in a cockney accent, this is my equivalent of the carbon fibre brake blade, and, when correctly applied, is capable of soothing irked females worldwide...

Carbon blades or cockney Montel - it's the same effect.  Putty in your hands!

A bloke   and I have no carbon on that bike but I do have 2 extra pots on the front brake to make up for the lack of decent levers. Shifter works fine now however there is no way on earth the one that exploded in my kitchen is ever going back together as there are springs and cogs all over the place!

Anyone been watching Billy Connelly's journey to the edge of the world? I bloody love Canada! If anyone watched tonight's episode and saw the bit in the Yukon and British columbia, it's pretty much like that wherever you go, with tourquise glacier fed lakes, massive mountains and some of the nicest people in the world. We never went to the Yukon, but we drove from Calgary in Alberta to Vancouver British Columbia via Banff, Jasper, Kamloops and Whistler. Watching that has made me want to go back again, it's a fooking awesome country! Probably going to go ski-ing in Big White next winter
Oh and Billy Connelly is bloody hilarious

Nope but I did watch his NZ series. Ive been to Canada once, just west of Ottawa and it was really nice although bit to hot when I went. I remember being particularly annoyed at house prices over there ie my cousins 5 bed detatched waterfront house with seperate bungalow even closer to the lake, ie a few metres which cost the same as my parents 3 bed semi in Hastings! Fun kayaking on the lake though and drove (if thats the word?) their speedboat and did some tubing behind it. I must capture to PC the video of me trying to waterski heh. Went mountain biking one day at the local ski resort (was summer), stupid brakes round the wrong way and I got maimed by deer fly but still fun. Did a road trip down to Niagra as well

ah memories, so relaxing. Second photo was when they had this fete thing on that closed the high street and they had a load of street performers, some on unicycles so naturally I got chatting to them afterwards as I used to play unicycle hockey (yes really) and found out that they played unicycle basketball out there
