In the same vein as Buzz's BKB timed run, thought i would do the same at Blean. Below is my effort today. It's a KML file but you can easily convert it to a GPX and upload to your GPS for those that don't know the area.

I'm a bit disappointed with my time, it felt much quicker and i believe Pittgoat has done it a minuet quicker Must try harder next time, on the hardtail.

Thats a good idea and sounds fun.

I rode the 'normal' Wednesday night route, but instead of crossing the goat field I carried on down the fireroad, down the hill then turned right back up the hill before rejoining the black route it took me 1hr 15 and clocked it as 12.84 miles.

47 minutes is a very good time.

I'll give your route a go over and post up a time.

'...keep that good line in mind with yer, with, in in [sic] with yer eyes and you're gonna end up going there - its its a beautiful thing'

Cheers. Can definitely go quicker next time as i wasn't going too nuts, saving myself for Sunday.

Just to add that is the regular Wed loop, taking the right fork on the first KT bit and through the goat field.

Hmm don't think i did 46 mins did I? Though it was nearer 50 or 55 but i've only ever timed it on the ss.

Nice idea though, will have to give it a go soon!

Start and stop is at the gate at the start of the singletrack, by the car park.

I could easily beat that time and distance if I was given a sports car and a straight road.

Yep same way, except I went down the steps, and after the leafy downhill that ends with a roll in onto a bridleway, I took the single track on the left instead of following the bridle way up the hill.

Good stuff, we'll all be pro's in no time   The main reason i started this is a bit of motivation to get out on my own after work again and get a bit fitter. I had to go up a size buying work trousers last week
