WTD : FREE Old bike parts......
#1
Guys - No doubt everyones hoarding bits they no longer actually want, Im wanting to build my XTC back up to a rolling commuter/*road* bike as my very skint mate needs a bike for a little while and I said I would try and help.

Seriously, anything considered to get this bike back up and running, wont be used off-road anymore, so might lock it on one ring at the front and just use rear gears or something.

Im looking for the following for free, if you are about to bin some old components, please consider donating!  Wink

Rear Cassette
Handlebar + Stem   (Unless someone has a decent bigger diameter bar I can BUY for my trance and I can swap the old back?)
Grips
Shifter(s)
Seat
Chain

Im expecting no favours from anyone, if they are destined for the bin and will work for a little while, then this will do.

Clearly I can collect or will cover your postal fees.

Worth a shot...

What have you?

I have a spare Giant stem - think its 110mm, far too long for an already stretched out race bike so it had to go.  I also have a Giant seatpost (30.9mm i think).  Both are yours for the cost of postage or I can bring them along to a ride.  I may also soon have some grips going spare.  They're quite grippy but as they are all rubber the ends split teh first time i used them.  Still useable tho.

If i think of anything else i'll let you know
