Abz, I think you can safely say that was the furthest Sketchy ride, you cant get much further!

You can get further away but you might get a bit  wet

Small world indeed Russ. Its really surreal meeting up with somebody you know on the other side of the world. We didnt even need to arrange exactly where to meet in fact. We just headed for Queenstown and I wondered the streets (for 5 minutes) until Nick spotted me!

It was a great days riding. The trails were great fun. Very flowing with nice berms and some of those humpy things that some people call jumps. The terrain here is extremely punishing though. As Nick very honourably failed to mentioned I had to push up most hills after a couple of hours.  :B Its scary how fast fitness is lost.

And as you can see I tackled the NS though.  Big Grin

LOL, I know they filmed Lord of the Rings here, but I didn't realise Frodo and Gandalf were still hanging out.

Looking at the most recent pictures, think we can say for sure that it certainly does not look like the PC at BBH.

The mountains and lakes give it away to a degree, but the biggest give away is the fact you have been riding for more than 5 minutes and can still see the frames of the bikes and your legs from the mud!!!!  ;D  ;D ;D

Glad you guys are having a good trip.  I'll have to get some MTB shots when I'm an Tasmania in the Autumn.  Should we start up a Sletchy World Tour Section?  Wink

THanks for the link dude, that's pretty damn cool!
Amazing how close NZ is to the landing spot really, obviously ignoring all the factors that'd make it impossible to dig the planet tunnel ;D
