A Sketchy First...

No one knows about this yet, so you can all check it out first. No doubt the link will get spread about soon enough!

Thanks to everyone who helped out, especially Nigel, Mike, Russ, Mark and Darren.

Hope you all enjoy it!

I'm off to bed, been in the office for 21 and a half hours today! A new record!

Thats very good. I'll certainly give that a read over in my lunch break (thats my break from looking at these forums not my break from work of course).

If I had one complaint, some of the pages took ages to load. I was only skimming through, but I got bored waiting and skipped those pages.

Had a good flick through, and it looks great! Internet at work is pants so didnt even try loading the video clips but Ill give those a bash at home instead. Good effort and a well deserved sleep! Smile

Glad the intitial response is good! regards page loading, that all down to your internet connection. On a good broadband set up it should be pretty quick. When we get in the office today we will go through and optimise any pages that are over a certain size to speed it up a bit though.

We try to keep the page sizes down to ensure good loading speeds, but with 120 odd sometimes a few slip through the net.

Cheers

Nice one Rou ;D

Really interesting read. Doesn't sound up it's own ar$e, like some mags do. And I think the multimedia format fits the sport brilliantly. What other mag can review a bike actually moving!!!

Looking forward to issue 2 already Tongue

I've just read through it in my lunch break. Really enjoyable read. I really like the way it feels pitched riders of "our"/"weekend mud lovers" level. A lot of bike mags feel to me to be written for those that do nothing but ride and have thousands to spend.

I really fancy a trip to Surrey Hills now, even a 24 hours race sounds fun Wink

Love the quote about just standing over your mate victoriously when he next falls off, in the track stand guide.

PS - I had a sandwich in one hand and a cup of soup in the other. If could have turned pages using space or the arrow keys it would be great.

Cool, that's the mood we were aiming it at, your every day biker. So glad we see to have got the tone right! We have spent the morning optimising the pages so they should all now load a lot faster, thanks for pointing that out. With everything going on yesterday a few were a bit on the large size so taking longer to load. That is now fixed.

Incidentally once you read the mag once on your computer it stays in the cache memory so the second and third sitting will load much faster...

Now all we have to do is get over 10,000 readers... So make sure you email the link http://www.imbikemag.com anywhere you can!

Cheers
