Brake pad advice
#1
Ok its time for some pads for my brakes. I don't use my bike for commuting only riding with you lot and some mates so mileage is not that high. What compounds have you found to work best and what shops to buy from?

I need some new brakes soon and plan on buying from Superstar Components ... Enough pads to do 2 bikes for £20~

Dont get organic at this time of the year .. 1 ride completely trashed a set of mine ! Think sintered is recomended for winter riding

I had to throw my rear superstars away due to the noise and the front ones which have admittedly been working in the dry, didnt work at all today, I forget the compound, they both took a long time to bed in as well, cheap but I wont buy them again

I buy pads here http://www.discobrakes.com/?aid=2104&
There's also a bikefridge ebay shop.

They are cheap & brilliant, easily the best pads I have ever bought.

Compound info here http://www.discobrakes.com/?s=0&t=8&q=compounds&
I buy the Medium Compound - best value.

IMHO well worth trying. ;D
