Fox 180mm Talas Single Crown
Its all over the web, leaked shots of Foxs test 180mm Talas Forks.

If it was 140 - 160- 180 that would be perfect for my bike.

Gold type stuff for 2010...about time they released a 180mm fork. The range of travel adjust is a bit pointless on the current one at 160,130,100 cant see who is going to use it as presuming you run it at 160 most of the time means you probably dont enjoy caining up hills so much so will never drop it to 100. Perhaps if you have a 130mm frame it would then work, wind out to 160 slack for DH (if frame is certified for 160 forks) and 100 for the uphills but then as the talas forks are not as plush with a different stroke characertistic to floats, I would rather run in that example, some 140 or 150mm 32's or a set of float 36's modded to 150

Now if the existing ones were 160/140/120 that would make a lot more sense as they would suit a lot of modern "trail bikes" like my zesty, meta 5 etc, run at 140 most of the time and wind out/in for down/uphill.

When I had my 4" Azonic I ran Talas 130's and left them at 110 most of the time and used the 130/90 when required and they worked well, current ones have too big a gap.

I'm pretty sure it's the same coating used on most of the mx forks such as showa etc so should be nice and hard wearing, no doubt it will mean more price rises though!
A 180mm Talas with 160mm and 140mm settings is exactly what i have been waiting for....   a new super blingtastic 160mm bike with these forks is just about the perfect combination i reckon....

I had better work out how i'm going to finance it....

180 150 120mm gaps likely - same 30mm gaps as current ones?

180mm with Talas should go a 160mm setting, why dont they go 180, 160 & 120 with two usuable settings and a grind up the hill setting. Or just save weight and go 180/140mm

Rockshox probably going 170mm U turn next year as have extended some lyrics to 170 this year

what bikes would have these 180mm? as OE?
