New helmet time....
#1
The fox flux has seen better days, so i'm looking for a new lid. Don't want to spend £80+, was looking at the giro hex, has anyone used one? Can get one for about £40 which is fairly reasonable so wondering about how comfy it is, quality and venting?

grea helmet, a few of us have one or had one on here. great all rounder with good venting.

I now use a uvex lid, nice tightening dial system on the back, a little more money though.

i use the hex and the xen and they are both fantastic. the hex is very well vented and offers great protection to the back of the head, with adjustable visor its great for all styles of riding.

I have a Hex. Really nice helmet. Merlin have them in their clearance section dirt cheap though only in large.

ok cool, sounds like the hex will do the job then. I can get a 2010 on ebay for £40 delivered which i thought was reasonable!

Used to have a Hex, but left it on a volcano, rather stupidly.

I liked the helmet, looked better, although not as comfy as my current Specialized Tactic (also a good helmet, but a little more expensive, I think).

Cant fault it at all, and you can get them in plenty of colours for about £35 pretty much anywhere.

Like Lloydy I have a Bell Slant and its has been great. Cooling vents on top just right to put a torch on with a handlebar mount, and the ones on the front just right to let you put your tinted riding glasses on the peak if the light gets too dark for them in deepest ST 8)
