Hi Tom, welcome to our random world Smile  We ride over blean every wednesday evening and you are welcome to john us any time. Just keep an aye on the rides forum.

It's not worth spending loads on lights this time of year though with the clock going back/forward, cant remember which, so just get a couple of the Tesco torches and cable tie them to your bars.

We went to Afan last August and it was fantastic, some of the best riding we have ever done, and thinking of the Wall and Whites DH STILL brings a grin to my face. I cannot wailt to in back again, you'll flippin love it!

Yes I noticed last night that it was still a bit light when I got home at 5.15, not enough to go in the woods but soon it will. As the forest is just behind me I plan to get home and go straight out on the bike before I get a chance to sit down as then I will never move...quick thrash then back to cook dinner

first post on here, have seen the site a few times via bike radar, and thought it was time to register.

I live in Medway, work in Canterbury currently riding a GT Avalanche, normally ride around blue bell hill / shorne CP

cheers!

once the postman decides to deliver my replacement brake hose, i'll be out on the trails, also looking at taking my bike with me to work for these Wednesday bleen meets as that's so convenient for me after work.

Welcome to SketchyMTB Ridg ;D

Hope to see you on an upcoming Wednesday then Smile   I'd like to milk your Shorne Country Park knowledge too.  I've walked round there with the family and I can't help thinking there must be some decent trails hidden there somewhere.

assuming i've managed to fit and bleed my brakes properly i'll be there (currently got no front brake  :'()

regarding shorne, there's a full bridle path that runs the full way round, it's a very short loop, but quite a few decent descents on it, it does suffer in the wet though as it's exposed and the horses really churn it up, that's the only route bikes are allowed to use, but you can get away with using the footpaths which can turn the place into quite a maze, with interconnection tracks all over, i've not fully explored all of it as I normally use it as part of a training loop.
