New here, seems like the best place to introduce myself. Im in Leybourne when im at home, recently joined the RAF so away alot atm. Ive always loved bikes but got into mountain biking in the last year/year and half and ive loved it all.

Did the Bedgebury Insomnia this year which was fun to do, hoping to do some more events this year if time allows. Usually just ride about looking for trails, like ive recently started to explore about in Mereworth woods, always on the look out for new routes.

Welcome.  There are plenty of trails in Mereworth, Oldbury and on the north downs at the back of Snodland.  I am based in Snodland and am intending to ride more after finishing exams in mid-January.  A couple of us ride around here, I will give you a shout when we go out and feel free to come along.

Just to introduce myself:
I'm Liam, I mainly ride Dirt Jumps and street/park but I have also done a lot of cross country and single track on single speed jump bikes with softened suspension.
I live in: Leybourne half the time and Moreton Morrell just outside Leamington Spa, Warwickshire the other half.
I have been riding for many years and I may just have to rebuild an old bike and actually put gears on a bike for the first time in a few years. I seem to have an un natural obsession with dirt and and building trails. (see my thread titled new beginnings) I have become a student at warwickshire college as I have decided to become a farrier and there are three colleges in the country which teach the course I am on, but whenever I am home I am out riding, I had a problem with a seized avid elixir 1 brake and dismantled it at college and stupidly left my pads, spreader and most importantly the split pin there so my bike is currently brakeless Undecided making riding more technical trails seem daunting, if anyone spots someone riding the Birling/Ryarsh/Trottiscliffe/Vigo section of the North Downs on a brakeless chrome jump bike wearing either a white TSG helmet or a full face 661 helmet, stop me and say hi! Wink I will be more than happy to chat!

I'm from Haslemere, surrey, literally don't know anyone that rides around here and not a clue where the best trails are

Haven't been riding for a while due to my buddy leaving the area. however i'm desperate to get back out.

love riding both XC and DH (especially the latter), hoping to meet some local enthusiasts that don't mind a +1 tagging along!

Hello ridersrus, welcome to sketchy.
Not so many riders living in Surrey at the moment, but we do post some rides up from time to time from holmbury hill Surrey . Or If your in to DH keep an eye out for when we're riding porc penshaurst or Aston hill near Hemel Hempstead. Welcome to come join us on any of these.
Most of us live and ride in kent though so might not be local for you that often.

Hey All,

Not even on every for ages, probably a good couple of years now but I'm getting back on the bike at long last. I don't have any excuse of injury etc, last ride I did was in Wales about 2 years ago and it was epic. I've been busy moving house and building a wedding photography business plus the two kids have been keeping me busy. Anyway hopefully see some of the old faces again soon. Hoping to get down to porc again at some point and hoping to do some race photography etc.

Since I have been away, has Andy crashed, Steve tytk bought any new bikes, Mark left his phone unlocked or ridden in pyjamas ? Tongue oh yeah has uphilldowndale started a bike shop yet  Tongue

Welcome back! I have indeed crashed, many times lol, but still alive Smile Steve has dissapeared, not even seen any FB posts from him recently. Mark has several pairs of pyjamas , and it was me that kept leaving my phone unlocked for Mark to frape me lol. And no, Mike hasn't opened his own bike shop.

Glad the Wedding phot business is going well. How old are the kids now? They on propper bikes yet? You still in Ashford? Hope to see you on a ride soon, we are still riding Blean and Kings on Wed and Thurs Wink

Kids are nearly three and 5 1/2. They are both really into their bikes, older is desperate to get out with me, not sure who's son he is as he loves hills  Undecided think I might be riding this Wednesday at kings, waiting for fork and shock to arrive back tomorrow from a freshen up service. Has there been any trail building going on at kings ?
