Solid tyres
Anyone remember the painful and somewhat awful ride, maplin tyres gave as a kid?

They're making a comeback or at least trying to!

You know what, i've wondered for a while now, why we can't have solid tyres on full sus bikes. The sus is soo much more controlled and supple than back-in-the-day.
£99 a pair is a lot of green though :?
Good idea if they do feel like pnumatic tyres, they get the compound right and have a decent knobly tread pattern. Must weigh a tonne though!
Does no one remember these from about 20 years ago? My mate Steve had a pair of 'Green' brand tyres, they were quite solid and would have been fine apart from being skidded through within a couple of weeks.

Bloody hell, they still make them, Green tyres are still going, Steve had the 'Blizzard' tread pattern. It left wicked skidmarks . Good on a wheelbarrow though.
