Fox 120 RLC service quick help
#1
So just servicing the bike - got the lowers off the forks, cleaned the seals etc & put back on - looked at the fox site for oil & quantity to squirt into the lowers before screwing together again.

2010 F120 (FIT RL, RLC & Remote dampers)
FOX 10 wt.
Damper      30.4
Damper-side Oil Bath      30.0
Spring-side Oil Bath      30.0
FOX Float Fluid      Air Chamber      5.0

So am I right to think its 5ml of float fluid into each leg? or 30ml of 10wt?

So you havent touched the actual damper internals, ok, well the foam rings just under the wiper seals are what need soaking in float fluid, the blue stuff

You then put 5ml of fox suspension fluid (not float fluid) in the bottom of each leg

Infact i put a thread up about this.....pdf in first post  :Smile  http://www.sketchymtb.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1273307649/s-all/

Looks like the suspension fluid is 10wt going by this link, ive packed mine away so cant go check http://www.mojostore.co.uk/acatalog/Fox_Fluids.html

Actually are you sure - it does say 5ml of float fluid on the oil quantity blurb - surely that does mean the blue stuff right?

Guess the air chamber is actually another bit, I thought initially it was talking about the lowers, but everywhere I look at guides etc say suspension fluid NOT float fluid.  That must mix & dilute the float fluid on the foam rings pretty quick though as all in the same place.

Probably thinking about tis too hard, ill shove 5ml of 10wt in & be done with it.

Quoted from Buzz's link Here

Before fitting the nuts, put about 5ml of suspension fluid (not float fluid) in each leg to replace the amount lost in removing and cleaning the outers

The air chamber is the bit under the air valve, sometimes this is overfilled and stops you getting most of the travel so you can take a ml o 2 out, still struggle to ever give 100% though unlike my forks.
