What new saddle?
#1
I need to replace my current saddle. I  have Specialized saddle very comfy but now creaking and I believe quite heavy. I was thinking of replacing it with either SDG Ti-Fly Saddle with Titanium Rails or a Fizik Gobi XM Saddle with K:IUM Rails. Does anyone have one of these?

Bought one last week after being recommended on another thread. Done 2 commutes, 1 xc ride and 1 race on it since then and it's proven a comfortable choice (and it comes in White-essential).

I found the Spoon a little uncomfortable. I thought I'd like it as I prefer a harder saddle, but it just didn't suit my buttocks.

I like the SDG Bel-Air.

Saddle choice is very personal, so anyones recommendation may be completely useless to you. I bought a Spood, Bel Air and a Gobi on other peoples recommendation and i don't like either :Smile I would suggest getting your ass measured by a Specialized or Bontrager dealer and basing your choice on those measurements, or you could just join us on a ride and try some out.

When I asked about saddle fitting and measuring in Larkfield Cycles they told me they sell small, medium and large width saddles and that was that  :o

Not the most helpful I'll be honest.

A fairly personal thing i think. I use a charge spoon. Cost around £20 and has lasted best part of 2 years and still going strong, no tears just creaks a little bit every so often.

A friend loves WTB saddles, i think it's a rocket he uses. I find it every uncomfortable and he finds mine charge spoon the same.

Might be best to get the cheapest version of the saddle you like the look of and give it a try.
