Netbook to PC
Hi guys

Anyone know how i can get 22gb of helmet cam footage of of a netbook on to my PC, idealy id like to plug it in buy USB and transfer that way (making the netbook like a harddrive)???
forgopt to say netbook is on windows 7 and PC is on Vista
Plug both into adsl router with cables and copy over the network. You cant just plug usb to usb without some form of network bridge. Could copy by wifi but would take months. Could remove the hard drive from the netbook and plug into the PC in theory but would take longer than just copying over wired network
Why in this day and age is there not a usb to usb solution?!
There is and cheaper than I thought but still requires purchasing    easier to copy via router presuming he has the cables or see if anyone has an external usb HDD to borrow and copy onto that then plug into desktop and copy off    (ok that ones discontinued but bound to be others)
cool, will look into the above. think my mate has a external hard drive i could use.
Can't you just go LAN to LAN or would you need something like laplink?

Just a thought......
lol ive already stated both of those suggestions

If any single file is above 4gb it will need to be formatted to NTFS not fat32.
LAN > LAN, you just need a cross-over LAN cable, or a X-over adapter plug/socket unit & a stock cable.

I have an adapter thing in my desk, not that it's any use to you Smile
