Noisy XTR rear derailleur?

look at that pic again, half way down the 'leg' there is a kink in the chain where it runs the wrong side of a metal lug. does yours do this?

Split the chain and put it through the mech correctly. Problem solved. There should be a quick link on the chain if not chain breakers are quite cheap.

I laced the chain up like this on Treacles XX mech when it broke in a race as I was in a hurry, oops  :B Made horrendous noises.
