Well my MRI report came in last wk - big disc bulge and a disc fragment... awaiting doc appointment (tomorrow) and neurosurgeon consultancy (whenever) to find out what's next. Possibly just material removal rather than pitgoat fusion stylee... we shall see... fighting the flab however I can but I likes my food!!!!

At least you know now. Let us know what the specialists say. They tend to keep surgery as a last resort, might be some injections or similar first. Good luck!

The fragment will need removing by order of ME Big Grin

Whilst they're in there they can tidy up the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A work colleague of mine, who plays rugby, had a disc shaved in the past, says it was dead easy and he was on his feet the next day no problem. Cool.

Well, it's done! Had a few consultations and ended up under the knife 5th March... now trying to be careful and get better.

No idea if it "went well" I just had to get the heck out of there.

It will be 3-4 weeks before I get seen by the specialist/surgeon then maybe I'll be allowed to ride again this year.

Glad you've finally got it sorted. Wondered why you had been so quiet lately. What did you have done?
