Its not about the bike boys, its all about the rider.

Correct and I decided not to buy that bike as it would be too good for me, I going to hold out for a cheaper one Smile

has anyone heard of a site called 'freecycle' i am a member of canterbury freecycle and i have got three bikes from there, one roadbike for me, an old scott mountain bike that was used for daily commute to and from whitstable / canterbury for 6 months and a shopper for a friend's mum. there's always loads of bike offers on the site, and they are all 'free to a good home'. we should all independantly get freecycled up and then meet for a blean ride, riding whatever sorry steed we have rescued. Then we put them back on freecycle and somebody else gets to play on them.
Keep it foolish...

Now that is a good idea Mike.
I'm a member of Freecycle, but I've never actually used it.
We could do a full photo-shoot on our newly acquired shoddy-steeds with biscuit owls and everything Wink

Im a member if about 4 of my local area FreeCycles - The Gillingham/Medway one is simply Piky-ville on the net! - Its just a stream of WANTED's ranging from "WANTED = XBOX360" to other such ridiculous comments - Its a joke now - no moderation.

2 days ago someone posted "OFFERED : 2x Camping Picnic Tables and Camping Equipment" - I rang them 15mins after they posted it (with Enduro in mind!) and they had already gone.

Its good to keep an eye out on it for those little gems.

Who fancys a "TOP GEAR STYLE" source a bike challenge day? - Source a bike for FREE and then we will put ourselves up for various challenges.

Check out the description;

It sounds really good, how much does the seller want for it?
