Alkali's Monthly Photo Competition
#31
[quote="]I'm afraid after declaring myself in this competition i'm back in the position of having no camera. Was gonna use the mighty  Undecided camera on my iphone but i've discovered a definite flaw in their construction quality. After dropping them, mainly onto concrete, say 15-20 times the screen will crack :o then after dropping it a further 5-10 times the whole phone will stop working APART from the alarm which will continue to go off but u will be unable to stop it as the rest of the phone is completely unresponsive!  So back to the massive Nokia 8)[/quote"]

Doh !!

Your pic has a kinda crazy yet peaceful feel to it, not sure that make sense to anyone other than me but i know what i mean  Tongue

As for my pic, created a mask of the sky of the original and replaced it with a image from the net. Double the length of the canvas size, flatten the castle so the new sky is part of it, bumped the saturation (probably more than normal but i liked the effect). The duplicate the layer and flip it. Then move this layer under the original. Next i added a water texture layer over the lower layer and  changed the blend mode, think it was either soft light or possibly luminosity but cant remember. Flatten and then cropped, simples.

I thought about changing the perspective of the lower image to allow for the diffracttion affect of the water slightly but didnt bother. I actually enjoy the photoshop side of it more than the actual taking of the picture in the first place  Tongue.

Nice, the result is rly gd. I'll have to explore photoscape a little more i think. I was pleased with the way the reflection i added to the bottom created a kind of sideways evil face from the waterside vegetation entirely by accident  Smile
