New DVD drive for laptop
Morning All

I suspect the DVD drive on our laptop may have given up the ghost as its steadfastly refusing to read any discs you put in it.  I know with PC drives there all a generic shape so slot into the relevant bay accordingly, does this apply to laptops too i.e. I can just buy a laptop DVD drive or do they come in different sizes, shapes or other such complicating factors?

Cheers All

They're technically all different although some makes are compatiable with others. If you pull the drive from the 'puter it should have a number on it. Google make and part number and you'll prolly get a result. The alternative is to fleabay the make and part number
