Mech for race double
#1
I'm hoping this isn't too daft a question. I have a race double 42/29 chainset and want to know if I need a double specific front mech or if a triple should be ok

You can make do with a triple and adjust the high screw so that you can't shift into the bash ring. A double specific will obviously be better though, and it is designed so that you can mount it lower closer to the middle ring.

I have an x9 with x0 shifter bottom pull double mech. Requires frame mounts. Do you a deal if this is what you need? Came off my bike the day I bought it so virtually unused.

Yeah I realised that after posting but had to do something, so didn't edit it.
