A wet New Year's Eve ride at Chicky. Slippy but fun with no falls
First two riders are me followed by GF

Ha, don't be mean Mr Nosedive. The riding round here doesn't lend itself to improving on technique and that's Mark's first time out at Chicksands, both of the guys made some good progress, particularly Wayne (Slo-mo drop) as he'd been nosediving that repeatedly until that attempt.
The pumptrack is great in the dry, but the opening couple of rollers really get boggy in the wet.

Yes the drops are in the same spot but have been reworked to be more progressive, there's not a huge difference between largest and smallest now, but depending on how fast you're travelling you can easily turn it from a 4' to a 10' drop.

'OMFG I'm gonna die' has served you well for the last 25 (happy birthday BTW) years so it's hard to ignore. That's a fair size at porc, I didn't see them there, but I've only visited once. The last time I did that drop was pre-reworking and my landing was shonky as hell, it took me about 10' to get it back under control. My mate was watching, I don't know who was more scared.
