Good riding by you two. Lol at the guy who tried to bunny hop off that drop and got no air at all Big Grin Have you rode the pump track in the dry? I could make it round one lap with no peddling but ran out of steam to carry on, imagine it'll be really good when dry.

Ha, don't be mean Mr Nosedive. The riding round here doesn't lend itself to improving on technique and that's Mark's first time out at Chicksands, both of the guys made some good progress, particularly Wayne (Slo-mo drop) as he'd been nosediving that repeatedly until that attempt.

The pumptrack is great in the dry, but the opening couple of rollers really get boggy in the wet.

I wasn't being mean, it just made me laugh. I seemed to carry lots of speed on the first bit of the pump track, started losing speed after the first berm.

Looks good, are those drops in the same place as the old north shore ladder ones were? I avoided them as they looked too easy  Wink

Yes the drops are in the same spot but have been reworked to be more progressive, there's not a huge difference between largest and smallest now, but depending on how fast you're travelling you can easily turn it from a 4' to a 10' drop.

4" is about my limit although I did do the ladder drop at Porc I guess which was really easy once you got your head round the whole OMFG I'm going to die thing as all you can see is the horizon, in reality you just ride off with your weight slightly back https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/h...7542_o.jpg

'OMFG I'm gonna die' has served you well for the last 25 (happy birthday BTW) years so it's hard to ignore. That's a fair size at porc, I didn't see them there, but I've only visited once. The last time I did that drop was pre-reworking and my landing was shonky as hell, it took me about 10' to get it back under control. My mate was watching, I don't know who was more scared.
