New Chain and Cassette
#1
Time for a new chain and cassette, i run a hope pro 11 with an alloy free hub. Currently have an XT cassette and KMC chain which ive been impressed with.

BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THE PRICES NOW!!!!!!

ANybody know where i can get the cheapest Cassette? Merlin have come up trumps so far!

Shall i just go with an SLX cassette that only has the top 3 larger rings on a slider as to XTs 5.

Get the XT one or otherwise in the end you will need a new freehub. Sram chain 991 from ebay is what i usualy do.

Oh and you may want to get some more powerlinks  Wink

I have 2 powerlinks in the chain at the moment that were from a previous chain and its fine. I doubt the odd link would make a difference.

Ive ordered my 12mm adapters.

Thats just reminded me, make sure the shop tell madison it has maxle drop outs or you may get a new frame back with regular qr drop outs.

Order them from Stiff, seems the only shop with them in stock.  Woolie hat shop seems cheap for cassette and chain deals but not as cheap as Merlin.
