Have you not considered going down the Wordpress route mate?
WP has tonnes of free themes and plugins to help take your site 'from zero to hero' Smile
The really big thing is posting regularly (like a few times every day) to get noticed by Google etc.

Not interogated it yet but will be using it for my own personal site when I get around to it.

Our work website uses it and it was set up in house...

Jay...can you recommend any good tutorials for using WordPress? I've had a WordPress blog for 3 years now but want to learn how to do a lot more with it.

i went with 1&1 web hosting.
they helped a bit. I  just need the site tweaking & improved to come up on searches on google etc
