Pilgrims Hospice Challenge 4th May 2014
#21
Curses! Was going to sign up for this but we're away that weekend! Stupid birthdays...

Looks like I'll be doing the KM big ride the weekend before... usually a good ride but not the cake fest the Pilgrims seems to be... ah well, next year!

At Canterbury we parked .25-.5 of a mile away around the back (coming from Kent Uni direction). The car parks at both Margate & Canterbury are quite small & utilised for stalls/patient visitor parking I believe. It's probably the same at Ashford. So wherever you go it'll be street parking.

You can always park in our road, the terrace, just 1 mile away, as Tinc is, although this will push the total mileage to 102.....! Wink

Thanks for the offer. I'm currently doing the 78 mile version & starting at Ashford (my brother registered first & thats where he picked to start from). Not sure how easy it is to change start locations tbh

Well due to change in circumstances I'm now free for this weekend and have just signed up for the 100 going from Canterbury! Fingers crossed the current wind/rain situation will give way to something more pleasant in good time. Pass the cake!

If you're in doubt about what the Hospice does and the impact on peoples lives, this is definitely worth 10 minutes of your time.

I presume you're installed there now then?

Not sure your paths will ever cross, but keep an eye out for the short curly haired training officer...... I'm told she's a real live wire although she comes over sweet as a Cupcake ;D
