I think the first PC and game I saw was a zx80 running Asteroids round my cousins.Quite a while after that I got a Spectrum for Xmas Smile with Lunar Jetman. Then went on to a C64-I've got the Staff of Karnath trophy sitting on my shelf thanks to Zzap64  rising from the flames of C&VG Smile and honouring one of their competitions.

My yellow world had not started way back then.  I was a *New Romantic* & generally dressed like I was a member of Duran Duran/Spandau Ballet Tongue

I broke out the old Spectrum 48k the other month to play Dizzy and Jet Set Willie.  Took nearly as long to find a compatible tape deck as it took for the game to load!

The first games I remember playing were on an Apple Electron with a green screen in the mid 80's.  Games were awesome when you only had one colour on your monitor!

Emu the way forward, run seperate programs or this which I am currently configuring, also just chucked this onto an SD card to try on one of my Pi's, should be ok on the older/simpler stuff although claims to be able to do Neo Geo etc http://blog.petrockblock.com/retropie/
