Joys of Commuting
#11
Loved my commute in yesterday, through the Adisham Downs. Did not enjoy my commute home at 21.30 after having to go back for my phone & it being such thick fog I could barely see a few feet in front of me. Hopefully next time will be better.

I realised how uncomfortable this is a couple of nights ago riding through crundale/waltham way. Bombing downhill on the road with no visibility and gravel in the middle bit of the road was interesting to say the least!

Back on topic though - this fog seems to make you even more invisible to car drivers at roundabouts! Bless em. Oh and foreign students just love walking in my way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, all country lanes, absolute pitch black. Had my (seeing) glasses on which became dew covered as well, double whammy!! Averaged 9mph :-( So relieved to get home.

It's so close to shorts weather for the commute, I can almost taste it, just a few more degrees!

It was shorts weather the other day here in Margate - no knee warmers either :-)

Well, after 3 days of riding some pretty gnar trails I misjudged a *hop* up a curb less than a minute from work & managed to land on my face straight over the bars.....

The kind people of Hythe comforted me, mopped up a lot of the blood, called my boss & the ambulance which whisked me up to A&E in double quick time & they are treating me well. I'm headed for X-Ray shortly for injuries to my jaw, nose, cheekbones & left hand.

If I need surgery I'm pinning my hopes on waking up looking much younger than before..... 8)

Sorry to hear that, slightly ironic given some of the riding you must have done this weekend

Hoped you heal up quickly
