Joys of Commuting
Relieved to say nothing broken. Had 10 X-rays of various body parts & all OK; even hung onto my teeth. Very very lucky. Left hand looks like I have a baseball glove on as it's rather puffy - found all my gloves were going round in washing machine when I was ready to leave this morning so did commute without..... first time ever on a bike without gloves. Wish I had also worn my full face & knee pads for sure!!

At least this confirms that despite my current 160 road miles a wk, I am defo NOT a roadie..... ;D

Missing skin & swollen areas painful but healing already. Really appreciate the compassion guys - all your posts & texts & calls making me feel better for sure!

Special thanks to Mrs Skid today :K) & yes Adrian - I was compressing the *rigid* fork to bunny hop the curb - this meant the bike somersaulted me through the air ensuring I had plenty of time to think: this is gonna frickin hurt :'(
Ouch.. get better soon  Sad
Good to hear that you're not irrepairably damaged Daisy. HealFTU quickly
Keep it foolish...
Heal up soon Rachel!! Glad there's nothing broken  Wink
Get well soon, looks painful but lucky, used up a year's worth there just like I did when I snapped my frame and landed on my face. Doing teeth etc would have been a nightmare, I do still have neck issues but manageable. Dress is nice... Wink
Cheers everyone. Looks better this morning after almost 12 hours sleep. Drugged up & tempted to ride - but shall stay sensible till Friday rolls round; Surrey in the sunshine beckons ??)
That's good news. Does it mean you would tolerate a hilarious sarcastic statement?  Wink
Of course. Give it your worst....... :K)
Have you considered going on a bicycle skills training day?
