"BikeWheelGuy" Wrote:Teams of 4 for the timed thingy by the look of it, I'll be there for a sharpish depart at 0930 depending how they stagger it, if the weather does what they say I'll be on my hybrid with mudguards so not maximum pace, but still looking for between 3 and 3.5 hours. Nothing stopping you from recording your own time - I'll certainly be strava-ing it, but I think the official recording is for the team event only. Give us a shout if you fancy it and I'll PM you my number so we can arrange to meet.
Argo, I'll PM you my number in case you also want to ride together - I won't be offended if your pace is more Vincenzo Nibali than Vino and Nibbles like mine and you disappear into the rain but it'd be nice to say hi at the start at least.
Took me ages to think of a fast cyclist related pun, any further suggestions welcome.

Just had to google who bradley walsh is, but good effort bud. My mate reckons his crocked leg will be ok for tomorrow so I'll be in touch to try and meet up.
Honestly don't know what to expect from the weather, anything from thunderstorms to bright sunshine with high and/or low winds. Have a look out the window in the morning I reckon!
It'll be a good way to earn copious bbq tomorrow afternoon.

What a fantastic event  ;D
Great course, really well waymarked & loads of Marshalls who all knew what they were doing.

We had the expected team mismatch & it turned out to be Mork & Paul........ followed by Suzz & I.
The lads finished maybe 20mins ahead of us, but Suzz rode her socks off to record an average of 17mph & 2:53 for the 50 miles.
And it did't rain 8)

Hope the rest of you had the great experience we did & well done Suzz Wink
