Blue Bell Hill RTA 22.05.14
#1
Details are sketchy, but I passed Police and Highways cars that had shut one lane of traffic going down Blue Bell Hill early this morning due to a collision. By the time I got there the ambulance had gone and the clean up operation was being finished. One of my drivers who drives to work along the road said there was a bike in the middle of the road when he passed earlier in the morning.

Anyone who knows the area will know it's a major road with consistent 70mph traffic. Hope it was no one from here, and hope it's not as bad as it appears to be. Healing wishes to the rider.

Whilst I will sympathise with anyone hit by a car, why the hell would anyone ride on the main carriage way on BBH when there are a number of safe alternatives?

It always amazes me when I see people cycling up and down there on the dual carriageway.

He's been taken to a London hospital with head and stomach injuries.
