The sun was warm all day & the photographers out in force. Car park was rammed when Jams & I rocked up around 8:30am. Manon brought his very own 4-strong fan club, Linden had gorgeous Michelle & the divine Brucey & MiniMatt had his family there with the *executive* chairs as ever 
So we all collected our numbers - adorned in our race finery & headed to the start ramp. First practise run saw Lindros & Manon shoot off with Jams following & me just behind. Over the table, the race double, the loose tight corner into the berm & then down the rooty steep rock garden..... as I came around the corner Jams & his bike were sprawled out on the track right at the bottom & it was obvious neither were getting up. The practise was stopped, medics arrived & eventually so did the ambulances & after some gas & air, then morphine, Jams & another racer were on their way to Pembury Hospital
My ambitious plans to hit the road gap & diagonal drop were thwarted by Jams' broken bod image playing with my mind & confidence. Hats off to Lindros & Deadpool2e in the top 10 of their category & Skid's prediction regarding Minimatt was spot on: that dude was flying all the way to a narrow second place; truly amazing 8)
